The Growth of Education in Panihati Municipal Area
ENGLISH MEDIUM SCHOOLS
During the seventies, a man named Pravash Chandra Bandyopadhyay personally took an initiative to set up an English medium school named St. Xaviers Institution at Elias Road of Agarpara, affiliated by I.C.S.E and I.S.C. board. Later it shifted at H.C. Dutta Road, Sukchar and since it is run and managed by Subarban Educational Society.
Earlier an English medium school had set up at the eastern side of Sodepur Railway Stationnamed National Model School, affiliated from I.C.S.E. and I.S.C.
Another English medium school was set up at the eastern side of Sodepur Railway Station named Park Institution, affiliated from I.C.S.E and I.S.C.
